Description:
This fast tracked project consists of a 10,000 square foot Air & Sea Rescue Operation Facility, complete with a 5,000 square foot helicopter storage building, a 1,500 square foot employee locker room facility, and a 3,500 square foot living quarter for firemen. The building complex was designed with PEMB structural steel and components. The new facility is located at Lake Michigan and 95th Street replacing the Air & Sea Rescue facility at Meigs Field. The building featured metal wall panels with insulation, and a strategically placed window system and standing seam metal roof system with insulation. This high priority facility was completed in three months.
